  1. PERMANENT reduction of fat without surgery
  2. Treatment takes less than 15 minutes and is performed in the office
  3. Minimal downtime compared to surgical liposuction
  4. The most common side effects are short-term swelling, bruising, tenderness, and numbness.
  5. No scarring or other reported permanent adverse effects with Kybella.

Kybella’s active ingredient is deoxycholic acid, which is a naturally occurring molecule already present in the body. This medication is administered by small injections into the treatment area. Injection of this medication aids in the breakdown and absorption of fat. Kybella targets and destroys the fat cells. Once they are destroyed, these cells cannot store or accumulate fat again.
