Much of Dr. Greene’s office practice is dedicated to non-invasive treatments such as Botox and Dysport. For patients who are looking for a non-surgical rejuvenation, Botox and facial filler treatments can provide exceptional results.

WHY PATIENTS CHOOSE DR. GREENE FOR THEIR BOTOX TREATMENTS

Dr. Greene is considered to be a leading expert in Botox treatments. As a master injector, Dr. Greene’s innovative techniques elevated him to one of the top injectors in Florida. He customizes treatments for each patient, which often includes a combination of different fillers and techniques in order to achieve the best outcomes.

There is a common misconception that Botox and filler treatments are straightforward and that any trained physician can produce a great result. The truth is that exceptional outcomes are the result of skill, artistry, and judgment. Dr. Greene has extensive experience with Botox treatments in his busy office practice. He has also published and lectured extensively on Botox and injectable fillers, and he has served as a Contributing Editor for a textbook on Botox and hyaluronic acid fillers (Restylane and Juvederm). All injectable treatments are administered by Dr. Greene.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PATIENT COMFORT DURING INJECTIONS

Dr. Greene believes that an injectable treatment should be a pleasant experience. Patients treated elsewhere often report experiencing pain during their Botox and filler treatments. Dr. Greene developed a painless treatment system that incorporates specialized techniques and is customized for each individual patient. He also minimizes swelling and bruising by delivering microinjections of Botox into targeted areas of the face.

WHAT IS BOTOX COSMETIC?

Botox Cosmetic is a non-invasive treatment that is used to eliminate the frown lines between the brows, flatten deep forehead wrinkles, and soften the ‘crow’s feet’ eye wrinkles. Botox works by relaxing the muscles of the face, which helps to produce a smooth and relaxed appearance. Contrary to what some believe, the aim of Botox treatment is not to create a frozen look with no expression; the goal is to soften lines with preservation of a natural appearance. The treatment is usually done in about 10 minutes, and patients can immediately return to normal activities.

Like Botox, Dysport is a treatment that is also used to address wrinkles and lines of the upper face. Dr. Greene commonly treats patients with Dysport, and discusses its similarities and differences with Botox during every Botox consultation.

BOTOX / DYSPORT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME WITH BOTOX OR DYSPORT?

There is no downtime after a Botox treatment. There is some mild redness at the injection site that lasts for a few minutes. Patients can return immediately to work after treatment.

CAN ANYONE INJECT BOTOX?

While Botox treatments may seem straightforward, it takes skill and judgment to create a balanced and harmonious appearance. The anatomy of the face is complex, and varies from person to person. Dr. Greene believes that patients should always seek a skilled and knowledgeable physician for their Botox treatment. He sees patients every day who have had negative experiences with previous Botox treatment from an inexperienced physician.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS FROM BOTOX OR DYSPORT?

Most patients will notice an improvement within 3 – 5 days, but the maximum effect may take up to two weeks.

ARE BOTOX OR DYPORT INJECTIONS PAINFUL?

Most patients experience little to no pain during treatment. Dr. Greene uses syringes with the smallest needles available, which causes only minimal discomfort.

HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS OF BOTOX OR DYSPORT LAST?

While most patients experience results for three to four months, some may note results lasting up to six months.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR A TREATMENT?

There is very little preparation for a treatment. However, patients should avoid taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John's wort, or high doses of Vitamin E supplements for one week prior to treatment. These agents could lead to bruising after injection. Also, patients who have previously suffered from facial cold sores are sometimes prescribed a medication to minimize recurrence.
